A bug where hermes_bootstrap incorrectly re-executes external entry points and drops the script's directory from sys.path, causing module import failures. The accompanying fixes prevent re-exec of external entry points and preserve the script directory during managed re-entry.

Open issues1

  • Issue#122160[Bug]: hermes_cli import from an external process triggers hermes_bootstrap re-exec; relaunch bootstrap drops the script's directory (hermes-webui: No module named 'api')

Open PRs2

  • PR#122334fix(bootstrap): do not re-exec external entry points and preserve script dir in sys.path (#122160)
  • PR#122336fix(update): keep the entry script's directory on the managed re-entry
How this cluster was grouped
  • Link evidence (structural links throughout): every member is connected by structural evidence: shared changed files, or a closing/superseded reference.
  • Pairwise link density 0.67: the share of item pairs that carry a link, counting a structural link in full and a relevance-only link at 0.36. 1.00 means every pair is linked.
